Cancer Resouce Help is a service of the East Central Florida Cancer Control Collaborative to assist cancer patients, caregivers and navigators seeking assistance in one or more of our seven service counties. Camp Kesem is a student-led, non-profit organization that provides a free week of summer camp to kids whose parents have been affected by cancer. We serve children ages 6-18 who have lost a parent to cancer, have a parent undergoing cancer treatment, or whose parent is a cancer survivor.
This summer, Florida State's camp will be July 29th-August 3rd. It will take place at Warren Willis Camp in Fruitland Park, FL. Transportation is provided from Tallahassee to the campsite, but if the family lives closer to the campsite than to Tallahassee, then they can drop off and pick up their children at the campsite instead.

Look Good Feel Better is a non-medical, brand-neutral public service program that teaches beauty techniques to people with cancer to help them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. The program includes lessons on skin and nail care, cosmetics, wigs and turbans, accessories and styling, helping people with cancer to find some normalcy in a life that is by no means normal.
Thousands of volunteer beauty professionals support Look Good Feel Better. All are trained and certified by the Look Good Feel Better Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Professional Beauty Association at local, statewide, and national workshops. Other volunteer health care professionals and individuals also give their time to the program.
The program is open to all women with cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or other forms of treatment.

PEARLS is a program designed to assist older adult and adults living with disabilities or epilepsy who also are experiencing minor or major depression A PEARLS coach works one to one with individuals, in their home settings, to offer encouragement, feedback, and to develop an action plan. PEARLS coaches work with a clinical supervisor to monitor the individuals progression and help with identifying and solving problems, encouraging engagement, and provide assistance with gaining skills to manage unpleasant feelings in order to improve the quality of life.
SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free program that provides information and guidance on topics that include Medicare/Medicaid, long-term care insurance, supplemental insurance, prescription drug assistance and Medicare fraud.
